Job Summary:
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of essential supplies and equipment crucial for delivering top-notch healthcare services. You will lead a dedicated team of procurement professionals, manage vendor relationships, optimize procurement processes, and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, identifying areas for automation, streamlining, and efficiency enhancement.
- Vendor Management: Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards related to healthcare procurement and ensure full adherence.
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the healthcare company's goals, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of critical medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and supplies.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring the continuity of healthcare services.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement efficient procurement practices to optimize spending.
- Inventory Management: Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and maintain optimal stock levels for essential medical supplies.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with other departments to ensure the procurement of products that meet or exceed quality and safety standards, complying with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare procurement practices, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
