Private Equity Analyst @ Lower Middle Market Firm

I'm recruiting for a Private Equity Analyst to join a small, but growing, Lower Middle Market PE Firm. This person would work closely with the Vice President working out of their New York office.

The company acquires controlling interests in a small number of high-quality businesses with the goal of compounding capital over a longer hold period than a typical private equity fund. They have partnered with 60 entrepreneurs and acquired interests in 25+ portfolio companies since their inception; a diversified approach that spans across industries and business models. Their platform strategy is a low-volume, concentrated approach with a higher degree of involvement in operating activities.

About the Opportunity:

• Assisting in the production of key financial analysis and investment deliverables, * including financial models, investment memos, and recommendations
• Supporting the due diligence, valuation, and execution effort for new acquisitions
• Assisting in the screening of new opportunities, including sourcing and screening new searchers
• Preparing investment committee materials that include updates on existing portfolio companies as well as prospective transactions and deal flow
• Performing ad-hoc analysis for existing portfolio companies, developing theses and prospective transactions
