Job Description
What You'll Do
As a Principal on OCC’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, you will lead through excellent organization, problem-solving, influence and communication skills to help enable change management execution across the organization while contributing towards the development of the organization’s change management capabilities. This role will be responsible for ensuring effective and consistent implementation of change management within projects and initiatives; supporting ongoing improvement efforts; demonstrating project management and implementation expertise; and leading development of standard change management tools and methodologies.
NOTE: This position in located in Chicago, IL and is required to be onsite 3 days/ week. Relocation not guaranteed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
  • Liaise with OCM team members to develop organizational effectiveness methodologies and toolkits for institutional effectiveness and assessment, pillar design, span of control, change adoption and change management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Organizational Development and Change Management
  • Develop change management models, tools, and techniques to assist in implementing organizational change and communicating the change to the impacted business units, colleagues, and organization stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver training on change management models, tools, and processes to provide guidance and build change-management skills
  • Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of change management processes developed and/or administered,
  • Interact with stakeholders, and/or functional peer group leaders, normally involving matters between functional areas or customers and the company
  • Ensure project milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets
  • Craft and deliver change management recommendations to leadership based on thorough research and analysis
  • Establish yourself as a leader and go-to thought partner for the organization’s change needs for project and initiatives, as well as the building of capabilities.
  • Develop strategies for mentoring, motivating, and coaching affected resources throughout change
  • Plan for organizational change and establish roles and activities that support the change process

  • Strong analytical skills, process and detail orientation
  • Effectively coordinate multiple projects with interrelated teams and technology issues simultaneously within aggressive deadlines
  • Familiarity with Agile development methods and practices
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of organizational assessment and change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a dynamic, fast-paced and highly regulated environment
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience leading change in large, complex organizations undergoing significant technology transformation
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Tableau preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Change Management, business or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant change management experience
