Job Summary
The Principal Enterprise Architect will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of complex systems and applications. This role is part of the corporate IT and has visibility to the business areas to collaborate with the delivery teams. This position will be held accountable for defining and managing application architecture strategy, standards, guidelines, and processes that meet business strategic and tactical goals while ensuring applications resiliency.
The Principal Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in the alignment of the business vision, technology strategy and the IT portfolio execution. The role will provide mentorship and guidance to other enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects across the enterprise.
- Candidates should be local to Santa Ana, CA and have the ability to work hybrid as that will be required in this role.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall application architecture strategy and Application Quality Assurance (AQA)
- Coordinate with various teams, including internal and external partners involved in applications modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders to deliver guidance to support their business transformation initiatives
- The Principal Enterprise Architect will be accountable for assisting in the analysis and design of the enterprise application architecture to meet the technical and business requirements
- Act as a lead principal architect for enterprise digital transformation initiatives
- Support the Enterprise Architecture governance and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with integration architect to build API solutions that integrate various platform metadata with internal data structures
- Design solutions that align with domain driven architecture principles
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions
- Deep understanding of different patterns for cloud applications modernization. Experience in serverless, containers, and re-platforming
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with IT and business users and work with diverse project teams
- Strong background in software development
- Ability to translate digital marketing problems into architectural design recommendations and decisions
- Ability to develop, deliver, and manage complex API integrations between various platforms
- Ability and willingness to operate in a highly cross-functional environment
- Experience in designing application and microservices and leading solution delivery using agile methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others
- Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail
- Deep knowledge of domain driven design and event-driven architecture
- Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment
- Experience in architecting and designing cloud-native applications in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure and GCP). Well versed with cloud-native services in all layers, e.g. Compute, Storage, Database, Integration, Network, Security, etc
- Strong Digital Transformation and cloud experience
- Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
- 10+ years of experience leading teams as an architect
- Experience working with distributed team is preferred
- Typically have 10+ years of directly related experience
- TOGAF, SAFe Architect, or similar certification
Pay Range: $106,200-$247,800
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
