Prime Client Operations - Associate Ii

As a Prime Clients Operations Associate II you will be responsible to ensure that all operational issues/queries which a Prime Brokerage client may have are responded and addressed in a timely manner, including: trade bookings, settlement exception, documentation, audit, technology, client reporting, etcetera. You will also support clients trading Equities and Fixed Income in local and global markets
Job Responsibilities

• Communication of open issues to the external client and internal client service rep in a clear and concise manner, ensuring a full understanding of the issue
• Point of contact for Account Management, Operations, Prematching, Settlements, Cash Processing, on trade booking / issue resolution
• High level of client service focus and Responsible for understanding \"end to end\" system processing and the \"transaction cycle\"
• Provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required
• Partner with technology strategy team to help identify internal and external facing technology improvement opportunities
• Apply research skills and p erform root cause analysis for their respective clients to increase STP and reduce client inquiries and partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Knowledge of financial instruments such as Equities, Convertible Bonds, Options, Treasury bonds is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand the external client's perspective when applying solutions
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks according to risk and client profile and a bility to manage global initiatives and projects by the business, industry or operations
• Must have strong PC skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft excel, formula construction, and excel reconciliation solution as well as s trong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines/cutoffs
• 3 years minimum experience at a Trade Support/Middle Office/Settlements role is required
• Creative problem solving with a focus on improving / maintaining client relationships
• Skillset to properly escalate issues to management, controls team and front office sales and trading teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and responsibility

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Team Player, but also must be able to work independently
• Equity and Fixed income knowledge is a plus
• Be a self-starter with the motivation, demonstration of initiative, and ownership mentality to think outside of the box as necessary
• 3 year minimum experience in the industry is preferred
