Job Description
Summary:
At Feeld, we are creating a world where everyone is more intimately connected to each other and themselves. Public relations has been a key pillar of Feeld’s success. In the last twelve months alone, we’ve been featured in Vogue, The Information and The New Yorker. This role offers the opportunity to shape the perception of dating culture, sexuality, and relationships, and help position Feeld as an industry leader.
As PR Specialist, your main focus will be fostering media relations and pitching stories. Additional elements of the role include supporting the team's day-to-day PR activities at Feeld, project management, and tracking and showcasing the value of PR.
To be right for this role, you should have 3+ years of experience in the PR, communications or similar fields, either at an agency or an in-house team.At Feeld, we are creating a world where where everyone is more intimately connected to each other and themselves. We are building an inclusive, human-centred product and are looking for a Lead Brand Copywriter to become part our remote team and our mission to elevate the human experience of sexuality and relationships.
You will embody and develop Feeld’s brand voice across all touch points. A conceptual thinker and immaculate writer, you will generate creative concepts, write nuanced and compelling copy in support of brand and growth strategy and contribute to the overall content strategy. You will report to the Director of Content and oversee the work of the Growth Copywriter.
This is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of Feeld and be part of creating a new and evolving language around sexuality, relationships and identity.
What you will do:
  • Champion Feeld’s brand strategy and bring it to life internally and externally by ensuring consistent messaging and alignment between the internal organization and our external communication team
  • Proactively create compelling news stories from Feeld’s announcements, cross-functional projects, user stories or data-driven stories
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing, growth, data) and maintain open communication with senior management
  • Monitor and analyse Feeld’s coverage, competitors and industry trends to produce insights and adjust strategies
  • Create and update all existing comms resources and databases with media contacts, media coverage, data insights, decks, key messages maps etc.
  • Manage media relations and requests
  • Support and amplify the implementation of promotional plans for campaigns and initiatives across the organisation
  • Formulate PR plans and strategies
  • Prepare and submit PR reports
  • Monitor for potential PR crisis and be proactive in presenting solutions in times of crisis
  • Write press releases, interview briefing documents, speaking opportunity notes and other PR and communication copy
Requirements
About you:
  • Eager to learn and comfortable with an ever-evolving work environment

  • Comfortable with time-sensitive requests and tasks
  • Empathetic towards the human experience, whether in dating, the workplace or society at large
  • Excellent at prioritizing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (the main work language at Feeld)
  • Extremely comfortable with managing and analysing data, including handling self-serving dashboards, producing insights, and comparing data sets
  • Focused on quality and motivated to uphold the highest industry standards in all projects
  • A storyteller, who loves seeing their narratives in the press
  • Impressive copywriting and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, with an eye for detail and precision
Bonus:
  • Knowledge of working with Asana, Notion, Pitch, and Muck Rack (or similar tools) is a plus, but not necessary to apply for the role.
  • Existing relationships with key media in the lifestyle, tech, business, and design disciplines are an advantage, but are not necessary to apply for this role

Our interview process:
  • The next step for most of our roles is a candidate challenge. This is an evaluation of the skills relevant to be successful in this role and generally takes about an hour to complete.
  • Your third conversation allows you the opportunity to meet the team members you might be working with on a daily basis. Here, you’ll be able to ask questions about team processes, workflow, and the employee experience at Feeld.
  • We generally make an offer within 2 weeks of our final call, and offer a flexible start date that can begin as early as the next Monday after you sign our offer documentation.
  • Your first conversation with Feeld will be a screening call with our recruiter, where you’ll be able to ask - and receive answers - regarding any general questions you have and to confirm the role is a fit for what you’re seeking.
  • Your second conversation will connect you directly with the hiring manager for the role you’re applying to. Here, you’ll have a chance to ask more questions about the work you’ll be doing. This conversation will also focus on your past work experiences.
