POSITION SUMMARY

The Plastic Surgery PA works closely with the supervising physician to perform laboratory and screening procedures, therapeutic procedures and assist in the performance of therapeutic or cosmetic procedures in the clinic setting. Completes pre and post-operative patient care, patient education

Required Skills

SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED

• Current California Physician Assistant license
• Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements
• One to three (1-3) years of Plastic Surgery experience
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant School
• One to three (1-3) years direct patient care clinical experience.
• Board Certification: Board certified by the National Certification Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

• Demonstrated expertise in plastic or cosmetic: Knowledgeable regarding a Plastic surgery PA scope of practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities.
• Independent performer.
• Demonstrated expertise in direct patient care

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
