Job Description
We are looking for a talented manufacturing Plant Manager to lead operations of our Markham, WA manufacturing plant. Responsible for partnering with the field manufacturing and corporate networks to implement objectives that drive performance and achieve business results.
  • Provide information and advice to Sr. Manager, on plant operations on routine basis; represent plant as needed.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and manage various plant performance indicators, such as line efficiencies, budget variance and product quality measures.
  • Supports food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.
  • Participate in labor contract negotiations as member of management team.
  • Create and maintain positive Labor/Management relations; working closely with HR to evaluate grievance activity and determine what corrective action is necessary.
  • Communicate with local and corporate staff on operational status; recommend improvements in techniques and methods of operations, developing rationale and implementation strategy.
  • Provide feedback to subordinates on performance; correct deficiencies and highlight strengths.
  • Hire, evaluate and develop subordinates; provide subordinates opportunities to exercise judgment and initiative.
Ability, Skills and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of EHS, FDA/USDA and SQF requirements preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and other computer programs as required
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Salary: $126,700 - $176,800 per year
