This position is responsible for providing both strategic and financial support for Customer Delivery and Strategy. We are seeking a Finance Manager who will be a member of the Core Banking Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the management and forecast of an entire business unit’s PnL and Balance Sheet. This is a small BUT high impact team that is constantly challenging processes to create efficiencies focused on driving positive business outcomes and supporting leadership’s vision. This requires close partnership with key leaders and supports an area of strategic importance for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ad-hoc support and fulfill reporting obligations to satisfy needs for business partners and Finance management.
- Partnering with Finance and LOB leadership to help define, track and influence strategic priorities and key objectives.
- Evaluate past results, perform variance/attribution analyses, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Produce reporting for monthly finance reviews and quarterly investor relations materials.
- Ensure sales leaders have an up-to-date understanding of relevant revenues and expenses, driving coordination between Finance, Sales and Strategy.
- Provides financial support of Strategy with deep exposure to PnL and Balance Sheet management across multiple customer segments, critical KPI reporting and business case development.
- Lead monthly close processes, ensuring management has insight into the financial results and forecasted outlook.
- Clearly demonstrate forward-looking expectations in the context of historical performance.
- Provide Finance representation for key strategic efforts across the enterprise.
- Perform capex/opex analysis to support the evaluation and execution of innovative strategic initiatives and new fintech relationships.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with internal colleagues and partners.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a related field (Essbase / Smartview preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Word), with a particular focus on financial modeling.
- Experience with strategic development a plus.
- Must be intellectually curious and a motivated self-thinker, while being able to work through issues and raise them when appropriate.
- Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and meet extremely tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and forecasting models.
- Must express a strong appetite and interest to develop professionally and take on new challenges.
Education, Certifications, and Other Professional Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master’s degree or other financial certifications preferred (MBA, CFA, CPA)
