Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is an educational service company that provides an array of support services in the post-secondary education sector. Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still supports and works closely with GCU. GCE designs and develops educational programs for GCU and other traditional campus institutions, as well as online partner institutions at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.


Grand Canyon Education’s, Office of Field Experience division is seeking a Placement Coordinator.


Responsibilities


  • Communication - Ensures all stakeholders (internal and external) are consulted and informed regarding student placement progress and needs as required. (i.e., Districts/Schools - Teacher Placement Specialist, Field Experience Counselor, and Student Services Counselors)
  • Prepares, distributes, and executes all approved student placement submission requests and properly documents within students’ file.
  • Manages out-bound and in-bound calls while meeting GCU customer service standards.
  • Secures and maintains highly sensitive or confidential student information.
  • Establishes rapport and positive relationships with students, partnerships, and all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates to ensure all questions/needs are met and seeks clarity/solutions on behalf of student and communicates resolution to all stakeholders involved.
  • Learns complex information and succinctly provides requirements and communication to students.
  • Responsible for coordinating, collecting, verifying, tracking, and ensuring all practicum requirements and timelines are met according to district/schools and college program requirements.


Qualifications


  • Must be able to pass background investigations.
  • Six months’ related work experience such as a high-volume in-bound/out-bound call center and preferably in higher education.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
  • Ability to develop positive professional relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient with standard office programs and systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully manage high volume of practicum students (minimum number of 350 per term).
  • Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to clarify and provide solutions.
  • Self-motivated and action oriented.
