Pipeline Business Development Project Manager

The Commercial Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and recommending new business opportunities within the energy sector based on in depth understanding of natural gas markets, including deal negotiation and transaction, production basins, pipeline grid and market fundamentals. In addition, this position will provide commercial support for the continued development and optimization of Aethon’s asset portfolio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Marketing transportation and storage capacity on interstate pipeline projects in the Haynesville basin.
• Negotiate and execute related sales, purchase, transportation, and service agreements consistent with commercial strategies and corporate policies.
• Manages, performs, and reviews economic valuations of various Business Development opportunities including new infrastructure, transportation, and supply/demand projects.
• Develop/Execute optimization and transaction strategies to increase buy/sell business across transportation portfolio and assets.
• Actively engaging in Business Development opportunities to attach new supply and/or new demand markets. The candidate will be expected to leverage experience and contacts to explore new opportunities for the company.
• Develop an extensive working knowledge of Company operating areas and assets.
• Works in conjunction with other business units to develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with pipelines, regulators, marketers, customers, and other key business partners.

Requirements

• Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Complete all travel and expense related reports.
• Minimum of 8+ years management experience required with natural gas marketing and pipeline industry experience as a preference.
• Ability to travel 25 - 50% of the time with overnight stays required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
