Payroll Manager
Orlando, Florida (Hybrid or Remote)

The primary responsibility of the Payroll Manager is the oversight of all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to Team members. The Payroll Manager plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and will contribute to the smooth functioning of assigned payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will support due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and lead integration activities related to onboarding acquired Team members. This role will also consider our utilization of technology and possible integrations with other worldwide systems or personnel. Finally, the Payroll Manager will play a key role in ensuring/elevating a top-tier Customer experience.
What you’ll get to do in this role:
· People Management : Manage the U.S-based Payroll Team (2) in the completion of assigned payrolls (currently U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, EOR).
· Payroll processing : Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the organization, including collecting, calculating, and inputting payroll data accurately and on time. Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments. Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits in compliance with legal and company policies.
· Compliance & Regulation : Stay up to date with relevant federal, state and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with payroll-related laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
· Employee Records and Documentation : Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other updates. Manage employee deductions, benefits and garnishments. Prepare and distribute annual employee tax documents, such as W-2 forms.
· Systems and Technology : Utilize payroll software or systems to process payroll efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with IT, HRIS or HR departments to implement system upgrades, cross-system feeds, enhancements and integrations. Consider opportunities for worldwide data sharing or system integrations.
· Payroll Auditing & Reporting : Conduct periodic audits to ensure payroll accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues promptly. Prepare regular payroll reports for management which provide insight into payroll costs, benefits, taxes and other related metrics. Lead data gathering for external audits such as Workers Compensation or 401k.
· Due Diligence : Participate in due diligence reviews related to M&A activity; lead payroll integration of acquired teams and ensure accuracy of incoming information. Work closely with Benefits function to ensure full access to all company benefit programs.
· Communications & Support : Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issues. Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related matters.
· Team Management : Supervise and lead a team of payroll administrators/specialists. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their professional development and performance. Coordinate work assignments, set priorities, and manage workload distribution.
What we are looking for:
· Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required; ADP Streamline or Celergo a plus.
· Experience with International payroll processing/payroll systems highly desirable.
· APA certification is preferred.
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR, Payroll or related field is preferred.
· Proven work experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar payroll management role.
· In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, regulations and tax law.
· Strong understanding of payroll software, systems and technologies.
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel (Advanced skills)
· Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
· Prior supervision experience.
