Patient Service Specialist (PSS) Float
Full Time / Monday-Friday Hours vary between: 7:00am-7:00pm
We are looking for someone that is organized, flexible and able to work well with others. Someone capable of working in a busy, fast-paced environment. Someone who can provide outstanding customer service, great communication skills and gets things done. We process referrals, schedule patients complete the intake process & data entry, insurance verification and review of benefits with patients, copay collection, authorizations, arriving and scheduling patients, billing reports, closing report and other task as needed. Candidate will be required to cover at other locations as needed. (Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Plano, Prosper area)
Select Medical/Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. This is an entry level position, starting pay is $18.00 an hour based off of experience.
Responsibilities Responsibilities

• Operates front office of outpatient centers
• Insurance verification and pre-authorization
• Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
• Greets patients
• Answers phones
• Schedules patient appointments
• Patient intake and data entry
• Supports therapists and therapy assistants

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Experience

• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and relate ideas effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, management staff, third party payers, patients, and physicians.
• Courses in bookkeeping and accounting OR work experience in a healthcare or related setting.
• One to two years medical billing and administrative experience preferred.
• Must have strong skills in computer equipment and software, detailed documentation, problem-solving and excellent customer service
