Medical Office Receptionist (2 – people)

Our rapidly expanding medical practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Office Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and should possess a warm, welcoming demeanor. This role will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from the first phone call to the final follow-up.

Responsibilities:

• Update patient records accordingly
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care
• Assist with insurance verification and processing patient information
• Schedule and confirm appointments, maintaining an organized and accurate calendar
• Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously
• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner both in person and over the phone
• Answer phone calls promptly and effectively manage and route calls as necessary

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with insurance policies and procedures
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred, given our diverse patient population in El Paso
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and office equipment
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on phone etiquette
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols is a plus
• Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred

Salary: $8.39 - $12.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday

• Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
