- Schedule patient appointments and verify accurate insurance plan code assignment
- Obtain authorizations for services requiring one and inform patients and providers if necessary authorizations are not obtained
- Utilize clinical knowledge to ensure doctor's orders align with provided diagnosis
- Coordinate schedules with other healthcare providers
- Inform patients of necessary preparation for procedures
- Ability to work any full-time shift between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time zone) from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent experience
- 1+ years of electronic health record experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a hospital, office setting, customer service setting, OR phone support role
- Experience with using Microsoft Office products
- Experience in insurance verifications
- Experience in a hospital patient registration department, physician's office, OR any medical setting
- Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
- 1+ years of experience with prior authorizations, or scheduling
- Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in requesting and processing financial payments
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

- The salary range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New Jersey / New York / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 - $31.44.
