Part-Time RN with an interest in IV Ketamine Therapy

Mindful Health Solutions

Part-Time IV RN
Our private outpatient group practice, Mindful Health Solutions provides comprehensive mental health care with an emphasis on innovative evidence-based treatments. Our two new facilities (in San Francisco and Oakland) need permanent part-time RNs to treat our patients with ketamine therapy.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with current IV placement experience, great with details, and has a stellar bedside manner. This is a part-time position as we grow this service. Over time, we he hope to increase the hours. You'll report to our Medical Director and yet have a lot of autonomy. Come join our amazing team!

Essential Functions:
  • Oversight of all patient functions, including but not limited to, observing signs and symptoms of reactions and reporting assessments to providers, changes in the patient’s physical, emotional, or environmental condition, and any other information deemed necessary to report to the provider.
  • Manage/ support staff with clinic emergencies and disruptive patient behavior.
  • Work with Care Team to actively manage the patient schedule to optimize efficiency, patient experience, and meet the needs of the patient.
  • Provide proactive utilization management for patients with acute high-risk needs.
  • Complete patient visit documents and submit all documentation according to company policy and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist with patient “Care Items” which could include: medication refills per protocol, pharmacy clarification of prescriptions, and other items as needed.
  • Complete regular checks of the crash cart and controlled medications; order supplies as needed, and report back to the psychiatrist.
  • Perform venous punctures. Insert and remove IV lines at different locations of the body with expertise, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Follow up with the client before treatment and then after to ensure the treatment went well and they are feeling better.

License/Certification:
  • IV Certification (Preferred)
  • Required Certifications: CPR, ACLS, PALS, BLS (Preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • California RN License (Required)
  • Min. 3 years of nursing infusion therapy experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent patient service skills
  • RN Degree, BSN (Preferred)
