Operations & Purchasing Manager - Clean Beauty Retailer

The Operations and Purchasing Manager leads our ecommerce warehouse, performs routine purchasing for all brands, inventory management and procedures to stock our brick & mortar store and general warehouse logistics. We carry over 100 brands from conscious companies around the globe. The Manager supervises, coaches and motivates the warehouse and fulfillment team, the operational center of our company.
Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and improve standard operating procedures for our fulfillment department
• Order and manage inventory of promotional products
• Order routine packaging and supplies and maintain par levels
• Conduct regular meetings and maintain high morale and efficiency
• Ensure inventory product rotation standards are being maintained
• Warehouse Management
• Maintain accurate inventory on Shopify and Inventory application
• Staff with seasonal contractors for peak periods
• Schedule, coach, motivate the fulfillment team
• Organize warehouse for efficiency and scalability
• Perform weekly and periodical transfers to appropriately stock our brick and mortar store
• Ensure that team members are working safely

Purchasing + Receiving

• Place, track and follow up on routine purchase orders for 100+ brands
• Ensure pricing/cost are accurate based on negotiated margins and Purchase Orders are accurate and fiscally responsible
• Continually focus on loss mitigation from shrinkage
• Receive, and oversee receiving, following up on damaged or missing products
• Use systems to forecast and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Manage and execute routine transfers to our brick & mortar store
• Maintain strong controls on purchasing, receiving and invoice processing

Other Duties

• Support subscription fulfillment as required
• Dispose of packing materials and cartons
• Be cross trained in all areas of purchasing, fulfillment and routine customer care
• Manage and perform inventory counts as needed
• Attend regular product knowledge training
• Ensure product rotation is being administered, First In-First Out
• Maintain work area cleanliness and order
• Communicate with brand account managers and founders with the highest level of integrity and written and spoken professionalism
• Accurately ship orders according to standards

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
• Experience administering inventory
• Relevant experience in a retail warehouse
• Strong written and spoken communication in English
• Experience forecasting purchasing for a similar e-commerce company

Compensation: From $50,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
