Our high-end interior design client is seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to join their team on-site in the Angora Hills studio. As a Purchasing Manager, you will collaborate closely with the team of fun Interior Designers to ensure the seamless procurement of all project-related items. Your responsibilities will include maintaining an organized purchasing system, making accurate and timely purchases, and building relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Ideally you are a highly organized and self-sufficient individual who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong affinity for numbers and a love of design.
This role is located in Angora Hills, Los Angeles, 4 days on site. Commutable distance required. Relocation can be offered.
Responsibilities
Purchasing and Receiving:
- Ensure the efficient procurement of all necessary items for projects.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases in our system.
Quote Requests:
- Request quotes from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
Order Payments:
- Facilitate timely and accurate payments for orders.
Tracking and Coordination:
- Ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate with project managers and designers to track and manage orders.
Returns and Warranty Management:
- Manage returns and warranty claims efficiently and effectively.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock availability.
Vendor Relations:
- Communicate effectively to address any concerns or issues.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Required Skills
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with vendors, designers, and project stakeholders.
- Capacity to prioritize and deliver results on concurrent urgent matters.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Clear, concise, and respectful communication with vendors and team members.
- Proficiency in Studio Designer and G Suite.
- Punctuality, reliability, and proactive follow-up with vendors.
- Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication, time management, and negotiation skills.
