Operations Manager Jobs

Overview

The Operations Manager will manage day-to-day processes and personnel to ensure company productivity and efficiency. Eta Space is a start-up company so in addition to leadership, this position will fill in as needed for testing, reporting, fabrication, assembly, etc.

Responsibilities:

·Day-to-day oversight and monitoring of fabrication and testing operations

·Provide leadership and direction for team members on all levels from management to entry-level

·Work with Project Managers to provide workflow management and task prioritization

·Work with safety lead to ensure initiatives are being met

·Develop, plan, and implement strategies to improve current processes

·Ensure processes and procedures are completed timely and efficiently

·Identify, analyze, and resolve personnel problems

·Train, develop, and motivate team members

·Cultivate a culture of respect and professionalism

·Collaborate with the CAO and CFO and recommend actions to the CEO

·Ensure quality customer service for all subcontractors and other customers

·Implement accountability at all levels of the organization

·Assist with interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, addressing complaints, terminations as needed

Qualifications/Skills:

·5+ years in a management/supervisory role

·STEM degree

·Proven success and/or training in team coaching tactics

·Experience working in the aerospace industry

·Comfortable with confrontation

·Experience leading a team of 15 or more people

·Experience working in a lab environment

·Knowledge of OSHA standards

·Experience working with cryogenics preferred

·U.S. person (employment verification required on first day of employment)
