Job Description

Starting salary: $62,000,00 - $66,893.20 (dependent on experience)


POSITION OBJECTIVE:


This position will be responsible for assisting operations staff under the County Executive Director with oversight of dependency cases by ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state & contractual requirements of subcontracted service providers. This position serves as the technical point of contact for the operations team within their county.


KEY FUNCTIONS:


  • Facilitates or attends and actively participates in case staffings as requested. Ensures cases are staffed, reviewed, and reported timely.
  • Assists operations staff with providing feedback & recommendations on dependency case progress to subcontracted case management providers.
  • Provide coverage & training within their county for operations team essential functions.
  • Participates in creation and annual reviews of Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure all policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of care requirements.
  • Perform lead status in collaboration with the Executive Director including but not limited to serving as the point of contact/coverage during Director’s absence, attending management meetings as requested, as well as providing mentor and lead guidance to other operations team members under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Actively monitors all permanent guardianship cases and determines and communicates GAP eligibility up to the time of case closure.
  • Mentors and coaches case management staff in the engagement of families, permanency, and family safety.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Required:


  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years experience in child welfare services


OR
  • Extensive knowledge of foster care, adoptions, family permanency, and mental health services.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience in child welfare services.


Preferred:


  • Experience in Data Analysis
  • Dependency Case Management Supervision
  • A clear understanding of the requirements of the Federal Adoption and Safe Families Act, and the Multi Ethnic Placement Act and Indian Child Welfare Act.
  • Experience in implementing Quality Assurance and Improvement processes.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • On-call assignments- Yes
  • Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
  • Travel- local: 25% per week, long-distance: 1% per month
  • Attend at least 15 hours of in-service training annually
