Job Description
To coordinate and monitor load movement, to ensure efficient and expeditious movement of loads. Efficiently communicate with dispatchers (operations specialist), company drivers and contractors, freight instructions while carefully monitoring safety, customer, company, and driver policies, regulations, and concerns.


  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be organized and have strong time management skills.
  • Manage Trailer Pools and inactive equipment within assigned planning zones.
  • Adjust schedule as needed when required to cover down
  • Evaluate daily capacity/ freight balance, and pro-actively communicate to the team.
  • Manage daily KPI’s
  • Assign units to customer orders to minimize deadhead, maximize equipment utilization and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Provide oversight to off-site locations
  • Ensure all load assignments given to drivers are compliant with DOT Hours of Service Regulation.
  • Communicate any late pickups and or delivers to Customer Service.
  • Communicate professionally, effectively, and timely.
  • Work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Provide Administrative and operations support as may be needed for the Director of Operations.

Education And/Or Experience


Three to five years of related experience leading a team. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


Language Skills


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


Bi-lingual a plus.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as data analysis associated with the planning of freight.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information in digital form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Other Skills And Abilities


Must have high degree of computer skills in Windows operating systems; internet communications; and proficiently use Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Must also have ability to learn and utilize other applicable software programs, such as McLeod Loadmaster and Transportation Management System (TMS) software
