We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager/Engineer to oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in human resources, finance, grant writing and IT management, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team, with a sharp business mind and proven success for maximum productivity.

Responsibilities

• Organizing the budget of the company in collaboration with the director
• Manage the medical device receiving, shipping, purchasing, inventory control, product assembly and engage with engineering and product teams on testing, verification, validation, following quality processes
• Manage the Aventusoft facility, setup, equipment, and staff requirements, events, team-building activities
• Work with business development team on product videos, marketing, help with development of promotional materials, printing
• Develop procedures and implement policies for effective operational management at the company, using available software tools
• Manage team member calendars and schedule meetings, appointments
• Manage company benefit program including life, health, disability, retirement plans, PTO, employee assistance and human resources
• Manages day to day business of the departments while balancing various responsibilities
• Duties and responsibilities will include interviewing, selection, and hiring; training employees; authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards
• Help with writing polished proposals. Work with the research and development team in finding funding opportunities and duties include researching deadlines, drafting grant requests and submitting reports for approval. Help maintain letters of support, CVs, associated documentation from external advisors, customers, contractors and suppliers. Maintain up-to date CVs and training of internal staff
• Manage company’s web and social media presence and brand (websites, social media, news releases, advertising.)
• Lead new hire onboarding process, communication of company policy and procedures, manage screening process, and schedule/coordinate meetings, performance reviews

Qualifications and education requirements

• Skills in conflict Management, People Management, HR Duties
• Knowledge of grant writing, proposal submission and fundraising process
• Strong IT skills
• Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources
• Three or more years of proven success in an operations management role
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business administration, Operations management, or related field
• Multitasking, organizational and time management skills
• Strong skills in budget development and oversight
• Working knowledge of management software programs, business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
• Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the organization

Job Type

• Full-time
• One location (Boca Raton, FL) and no relocation will be provided.
• Only open to candidates in South Florida, who can commute daily to work location in Boca Raton, FL.
