Company Description

Founded in 2021, Inward is a female focused mental wellness platform. Our mission is to empower women to manage their own mental and emotional wellness. Healthcare and mental health was not built with women in mind. Globally, women are at double the risk of depression, anxiety, self-harm, PTSD and a host of other disorders. Inward is building the go-to destination for female self-healing. Inward offers virtual therapeutic experiences and leverage peer to peer support to scale the traditional 1:1 therapy model through software.

The company is currently at pre-seed stage and operates out of the Columbia Startup Lab in SoHo, NY as well as remotely.

Inward is looking for a highly motivated Operations Intern. We are looking for an individual with excellent problem-solving skills who has the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential opportunities, and recommend solutions. The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks necessary for running the business, including accounting, recruiting, and project management. The ideal candidate has a business background and is comfortable managing multiple workstreams in parallel. Applicants should be independent and strong communicators, as well as thrive in a startup environment. An interest and passion in psychology, mental and emotional health, and personal development is strongly preferred.

Duration

This internship starts this summer. Flexible on dates.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with founders to achieve outcomes based on company goals
• Keep updated on industry and market trends
• Interview and onboard new team members
• Organize and maintain Airtable
• Perform basic financial analysis on company expenses to track burn rate and project runway
• Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance
• Document all tasks and deliverables in Asana

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate emotional intelligence
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in clearly communicating strategy
• Familiarity with Airtable, Wave, and Asana preferred
• Ability to think quickly, resolve problems, and multi-task across numerous projects and teams
• Extraordinary critical thinking skills
• Flexibility and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential opportunities, and recommend solutions
• Students pursuing BA/BS preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit with thirst to be a part of an early-stage company

Additional Information

This is an unpaid internship with the potential of receiving a full or part-time offer. We offer a flexible schedule of 3-5 days/week with a minimum of 10-15 hours/week. Due to the current health concerns, we are offering Fully Remote Internships for all internship positions.
