Preferred Qualifications:The preferred candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; good computer skills; experience handling telephone calls that require a high level of professionalism; excellent verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills; the ability to handle multiple tasks; attention to detail; ability to work independently; and experience in processing transactions in the Statewide Financial System (SFS).
The Office Assistant (OA) 1 (Keyboarding) will provide critical administrative support to the Geneva District Office. They will be responsible for answering the telephone, responding to questions concerning policy or procedures, and referring calls to appropriate staff members for technical information. They will organize the flow of paper in the office, triage the mail, file documents, draft correspondence, maintain the office e-mail system, perform data entry, coordinate mailings and handle fee payments. The OA 1 will also maintain office equipment and supplies.
