About the Job
This position provides administrative support to managers, other personnel, and the Operations Manager.
Manages and organizes office operations and procedures, such as word processing, preparation of payrolls, flow of correspondence, filing, and other clerical services.
Responsible for compilation of payroll data of all hourly employees, gathers timecard data and provides to Payroll Department, keeps track of days missed and vacation.
Handles all building administration such as janitor contract, scale certifications, time clocks, copier, office equipment, supplies, vending machines, and accounts with S. Postal Service, UPS, and FED-EX.
Arranges accommodations, meals and other necessary items for site functions, including Management/Operation meetings, special recognition meals, Service Awards, registrations, travel, reservations, etc.
Schedules & coordinates appointments, meetings, and serve as local liaison for employees, visitors, contractors, MSHA, etc. Schedules and coordinates customer tours.
Updates training records for employees and establishes and maintains multiple confidential filing systems.
Assists in hiring process or other areas within Human Resources as requested.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, 2 or 4-year degree preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of administrative or related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge: Proficient in Windows, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power BI.
Skills: Good organizational and document retention.
Abilities: Capable of handling of information in a confidential and professional.
Behaviors: Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication.
