What we want

The Environmental HEalth and Safty department is seeking an Occupational Safety & Health Inspector I that will be responsible for performing initial and follow-up inspections to include buildings and shops and to complete and submit associated reports on time. The position will input data into spreadsheets and databases as required for tracking deficiencies and metrics. This position will also respond to EHS emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities:

INSPECTIONS: Performs initial and follow-up inspections in campus buildings and shops to ensure a safe environment that is compliant with applicable rules, codes, and regulations. Will be required to operate a University vehicle to drive to inspection sites on campus.

DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING: Inputs data into spreadsheets and database. Generates and submits reports to document inspection findings.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Responds to emergencies on incidents or accidents. Assists other emergency response personnel as needed.
