- Assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors regarding CUNY's Policy on Sexual Misconduct and CUNY's Policy on Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination, including case intake, answering questions on the rights of parties involved, resource referrals, and procedural questions. - Develop and maintain critical relationships with faculty, Public Safety, key staff and students to promote Title IX and non-discrimination policies and procedures. - Assists in classifying and identifying incidents in order to maintain Clery Act records. - Assists in efforts and creating opportunities to define, assess, and promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as well as cultural proficiency. - Serve on related committees and attend Central Title IX meetings and training sessions.
- Acts as a neutral party through all aspects of the investigation to ensure a prompt, fair and equitable process for all parties. - Conduct intake meetings, interview complainants, respondents, and potential witnesses, conduct thorough investigations, collect all relevant evidence. - Provide timely follow-up and updates to the complainant and respondent - Gather and secure relevant documentation. - Keep accurate and thorough records and notes of the investigatory process.
- Coordinates with campus partners involved in the response to reported incidents of all forms of sexual harassment and discrimination to ensure a consistent and appropriate response to all reported incidents. - Helps create and maintain a welcoming, supportive, equitable and safe environment for every member of the campus community.
- Write comprehensive, articulate, and well -written investigative reports for review by the Chief Diversity/ 504/ADA Coordinator and President.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Comply with state and federal, legislations, regulation, and CUNY Policies requiring prompt and equitable resolution of Title IX, affirmative action, equal opportunity, Title VI and Title VII complaints.- Ensures compliance with record keeping and confidentiality of protected information.- Develop and execute an investigation plan for each complaint, including contacting all involved parties and providing them with information about the investigatory process, available resources, interim measures and reporting and resolution options.
