Job Description

Neurodiagnostic Technologist (END TECH I) - .6 FTE (48 hours per pay period)/ Evening/Nights 9:00 PM- 5:00 AM. Benefit Eligible!

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $29.61 to $44.42, with a median wage of $37.01/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay just one part of the compensation package for employees. The ND Technologist I is an allied health professional who has completed at least one year of ND education from an Accredited Program and one or more years of clinical experience in at least one ND procedure. Performs routine diagnostic testing procedures independently and complex procedures under the direction of a physician. Testing studies include electroencephalograms (EEG), routine and sleep-deprived; video EEGs (LTM), evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCV), and intra-operative monitoring (IOM).

Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient’s condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams, consistent with our Gillette CARES expectations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must perform studies certified / registered in effective job performance requires knowledge of patient safety, infection control guidelines, and patient/family-centered care.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Accurately assesses self-competence and identifies areas for continuous professional growth.
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of one year of END education from an accredited program or clinical experience
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritization and communication.
  • Certification or Registration in one END procedure, R EEG T., CNIM, CLTM, R NCS T,
  • One or more years of clinical experience in at least one END procedure.

Preferred:

  • IOM experience
  • Graduate from an Accredited END Program
  • Experience working with pediatric and patients with disabilities.
