ECS is seeking a Network Tech II to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

ECS is looking for a Network Field Technician II to support a major laboratory in New Mexico!

This position is supporting the Enterprise Network Team at a major Department of Energy Laboratory. The mission is to deliver secure, consistent, and capable network and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value to the client and its customers. This organization is responsible for providing secure, consistent, and highly available network infrastructures and virtual services to meet corporate and mission IT needs.

This position is 100% on-site so the candidate will have to live in the Albuquerque, NM area.

Day-to-day duties:

• Review incoming IT Service Desk requests and resolve customer requirement issues.
• Coordinate with Network Advanced Field Operations, Wi-Fi, DWDM Teams as needed to support activation of device ports.
• Provide Network Field Support Services for WiFi, ComSec and DWDM services.

Required Skills:

• Operational knowledge of Wi-Fi access points.
• Associate degree in relevant discipline plus three (3) or more years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree 6 years job related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Sonet
• Experience with Aruba
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• BICSI Technician Certification
• Demonstrated experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships both internal and external to the department.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
