Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

The Role

This position works with Network and UC teams to isolate and resolve faults in the PACCAR network. This position contributes to the deployment and support of network services used by PACCAR employees, dealers, customers, and shareholders.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Support global strategies to implement new technologies based on developed vision.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams globally.
• Assist with the installation and integration of new technologies into proof-of-concept and pilot deployments.
• Support department’s technical vision and strategy of major aspects of the PACCAR network including WAN/LAN, Wireless/Mobility, and Unified Communications.
• Up to 10% travel.
• 2nd level support on PACCAR’s network infrastructure, services, and peripheral equipment. Works with stakeholders to resolve service requests and incidents.
• Use knowledge base and mentorship opportunities to troubleshoot network related problems.
• Develop PACCAR network standards and publish RFCs as requested.

Qualifications

• Experience provisioning and deprovisioning hardware and software including updating record keeping systems.
• Availability to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with Cisco DNAC and Cisco ACI desired.
• Experience with network operations and network analysis tools. Packet capture and analysis skills desired.
• Experience in network deployment and maintenance. Experience troubleshooting Cisco switching and wireless solutions. Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues including carrier services.
• 1-2+ years of experience working in an enterprise network.
• Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to complete operations and network documentation.

Education

• Associate in Arts & Sciences in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
• Progress toward Cisco CCNA or CCNP Certifications desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired.

Physical Requirements

• This job requires possible ladder use, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling as well as bending and stooping.

Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
