Overnight NOC Lead (Remote position)
Experience with Cisco Wireless and Firewalls, Service Now, Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Splunk, or Infoblox is not required but is an asset.
NOC Engineer provide network monitoring and support . In addition to the tool sets itself, the NOC Engineer works well with customers and other stakeholders.
The Network Operations Center Engineer is an operational support position.
Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards.
Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends. This position is for an overnight team lead role.
Assists with monitoring tool design and implementations of tool sets for network routing/switching, and recovery procedures.
Has the ability to correlate reoccurring issues and the ability to make network, server, storage configuration changes.
Prioritizes work appropriately, carrying out assignments with the appropriate level of direction and completing tasks within deadlines.
Monitors work progress, informing team leaders, team managers and/or customers of project status, problems or obstacles and workload problems in a timely manner with supervision. Provides timely and accurate status reports. Enters work time appropriately and timely into applicable systems.
Provides accurate and concise up to date system information of problem escalation. Provides appropriate documentation for scheduling of resources. Creates and maintains system report such as uptime, utilization, and growth.
Basic duties include:
L1/L2 support of all incidents , must respond to all incidents, accept, resolve and or escalate to the L3 Engineering and meet all SLA’s.
In depth knowledge of TCP/IP.
Assist in performing changes and testing after changes.
Perform escalations to vendors and third parties as required to solve incidents and problems.
Expert level experience with Cisco routers and switches.
Knowledge of routing protocols: BGP and EIGRP. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent customer facing skills and ability to provide technical descriptions in easy-to-understand terms.
Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements

• Education: H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent, and CCNA or CCNP
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience required
