National Accounts Manager

As a member of the sales team at Hickory Harvest Foods, you will establish a national account/regional sales strategy, meet with customers virtually and on-site to help them grow their business with products you are proud to deliver. The National Account Manager candidate is based remotely with 30% travel expectations including quarterly visits to Hickory Harvest Foods’ main office. The ideal candidate will reside within an hour’s travel distance of a major airport.
Position Responsibilities
- Utilize “consultative/challenger sales solution strategy” for customer “own brand” and branded snack categories.
- Leverage your prior “Own Brand, Private Label” and/or branded CPG management experience.
- Hunt, prospect, manage and grow existing accounts and develop new business within regional and national customers.
- Relationship builder in this remote sales position with in-market travel expectations ~30% of the week
- Revenue plan/sales quota delivery expectation
- Lead your national account plan by possessing a “sales closer” mindset with ability to fast-adapt and develop strong customer relationships.

Teamwork & Knowledge
- Participate in team selling activities to leverage success at retail selling!
- Weekly group and 1:1 meetings to expand product knowledge and share best practices.
- Build upon your experience base with dynamic support from our Sales team, Corporate leaders, Customer Service and Warehouse operations teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience managing “Own Brand/Private Label” or Branded portfolio.
- Travel expectations 30-40% as business needs dictate; includes overnight and air travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Currently calling on retail customers for Private Label, Produce/Fresh Category Managers
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, virtual and in-person presentation skills and possess sales closing skills.
