National Account Manager - Amazon, US and Canada

- Support Sales Director developing and maintaining high-level relationships with regional channel contacts and key account principals
- Ensure optimal product launches and effective discontinuation activities with Amazon USA & Canada in line with defined distribution and marketing plans
- Execute both external and internal daily management tasks including, but not isolated to, sales reporting, promotional programs, order management, Amazon catalogue availability, demand planning and marketing optimization
- Collaborate with key decision makers within the Amazon business to ensure a fruitful relationship in order to facilitate ongoing support for the brand and ultimately deliver growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers at Amazon USA & Canada
- Work closely with the internal Marketing Team to optimize our Amazon Advertising investments to drive both new product launch and promotional program effectiveness
- Optimize new product listings and launches with Amazon in line with the strategic distribution targets of the organization
- Collaborate with North American Senior Management to develop and manage performance metrics for Amazon USA & Canada
- Support the development, implementation and coordination of regional and global retail channel projects
- Collaborate with the key Sennheiser Operations and Retail Teams to optimize the performance across Amazon USA & Canada, and the wider Retail Team
- Provide market feedback on trends, opportunities, competitive products and sales developments in close cooperation with the product specialist(s)
- Assuming a leadership role across both the Global Amazon Team and wider Global Account Management Team in sharing best practices
- Internally being a leader within the global Amazon Team to share best practice across markets, as directly managing the largest Amazon account globally
- Forecast, analyze and report financials for Amazon USA & Canada to include accurate SKU forecasts, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales growth projections
- Develop and execute sales strategies to successfully meet and/or exceed an assigned annual sales target.
- Support the Sales Director in identifying sales and marketing opportunities to optimize the performance of Amazon USA & Canada
- Effectively manage the Net Sales and Profitability of the Amazon USA & Canada accounts in line with the strategic direction of the organization
- Regional Operations Team (specifically finance, supply chain and customer service)
- Global Retail Account Management
- Global Amazon Account Management
- Regional Trade Marketing
- Regional Retail Sales Team, including Global Key Account Managers for North America
- Amazon USA & Canada Key Decision Makers – Vendor Managers, Specialized Vendor Services, Amazon Advertising, Amazon Operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of management
- Solid understanding of retail pricing policies
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to travel domestic and international up to 25% of time
- Excellent knowledge of the USA and Canadian retail landscape, shopper behaviors and related merchandising tactics
- Attention to detail; self-directed; self-starter; expert problem solver
- Results focused; uses performance targets and goals to drive personal accountability.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Outgoing nature with strong networking and relationship building ability
- 5-8 years’ experience and proven success in Sales Management and Business Development roles in the Consumer Electronics Channel or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods
- Strong initiation skills, ability to respond quickly to changing business environments
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing large national retail chains
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to work individually and cross-functionally across internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations to problem solve and ultimately drive results
- Analytical thinker, with the ability to turn strategies into successful execution
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
- At least 2 years of direct management responsibility of outside vendors
