About Us
Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, located in Bakersfield, California, is an acute psychiatric and behavioral 90 bed facility situated on 8.8 acres. We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification.
Job Summary
The Mental Health Worker provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse and unit Lead Mental Health Worker, within the job modifications and work restrictions outlined by their physician. This is a per diem status position.
wage range: $17.67/hr. - $22.99/hr.
Requirements
Must be covid vaccinated and booster vaccinated when eligible according Ca Mandate.
This is a 12 hr shift position.
Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Associates preferred.
Two (2) years experience focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and exprience acceptable.
License
CPR and Handle with Care (to be completed with in 30 days of hired)
