The Centers of Excellence (COE) Editorial Director will direct and oversee production of

collaborative and dedicated content plans for each COE. COE content will be appropriate to a

healthcare professional audience within a given condition topic.

Centers of Excellence are dedicated condition pages on Medscape.com offering a variety of content on that disease or topic for the user.

Roles & Responsibilities

Create, schedule, and oversee the content plan for each COE appropriate to a healthcare professional audience in the clinical subject area

Select and recruit expert contributors with appropriate expertise for each piece

Collaborate with society partners and Medscape specialty editors as appropriate

Ensure editorial content for each COE is delivered in a timely manner across a variety of formats

Edit content for accuracy and ensure it meets best practice guidance

Format and traffic articles through editorial and production

Required Skills

Appropriate Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital medical publishing aimed at physician audiences across a number of medical specialties

5+ years experience editing medical content, preferably for a physician audience

Possess excellent editorial (writing, editing, and idea development) skills

Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills

Attention to detail, fact-checking, and review of content for accuracy

Ability to work under deadline pressure

Required Education

BA or equivalent required
