Associate Editor (Usa, Remote)

We’re looking for an Associate Editor to join our Content Team! In this position, you’ll report to the Director of Branded Content. You’ll write and edit branded content for The Muse’s clients, ranging from enterprise companies like Meta and BlackRock to startups in fintech, healthcare, and beyond. You’ll also work closely with our sales and account management teams, ensuring that all client goals are being met.

How you’ll make an impact

• You’ll partner with project managers and account managers to ensure our branded content satisfies client goals and meets performance benchmarks
• You’ll own our popular company roundup articles, including working closely with our account managers, writing the articles, crafting engaging email and social media copy, and tracking performance
• Real employees from our partner companies are at the core of our branded content strategy
• You’ll research talent, craft interview questions, and edit their answers to create on-site content that spotlights their career paths and experience at the company

You’ll build and update content in our CMS. You’ll have the opportunity to edit and/or write other content featuring our clients.

• You’re a curious person who has a genuine interest in the career space and is excited by the idea of creating content about a wide range of companies
• You are data-driven and want to uncover new and smarter ways to make your content perform
• You’re tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools. Bonus if you’re already familiar with content management and project management systems. (Experience with AirTable is a huge plus but not required.)
• You’re an excellent communicator, especially when it comes to working on cross-functional projects
• You’re a positive person and a team player, but are also able to work well independently
• You are flexible and can quickly adapt to shifting priorities
• You have a strong attention to detail, are adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines, and rarely let things fall through the cracks
• You have at least five years of experience as an editor and writer for a print or digital publication. Bonus if you’ve worked on branded content
