Media Strategist
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the fun Media Team in our Marketing Department. You’ll be responsible for developing integrated media strategies (Out-of-Home, TV, Radio, Digital, and more) for our brands, working closely with the brand team, design team, 3rd party media partners, and of course, your fellow media team. We need someone who has a very strategic and analytical thought process and who also likes to have their voices heard in the creative process.
This is a full-time, in-house position. You must have reliable transportation. You will report to the Senior Media Strategist and the Media Director.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)
- Detail and track for KPIs such as sales growth, click-through rates, sweeps entries, and more
- Occasional production days – ensuring the production team captures the exact content needed
- Campaigns to push consumers down the marketing funnel to the point-of-purchase
- Maintain calendars and schedules of active and upcoming seasonal campaigns and changes
- Forecast asset needs early and maintains calendar for development and execution
- Develop pre-campaign reports to share cross-functionally
- Occasional data entry and coding invoices
- Align on key timing and locations
- Light creative copy writing for radio scripts, SEM ads
- Work with the design team to develop creative assets and ensure finalized assets are delivered on time for execution
- Monitoring budget and spend
- Develop post-campaign reports and assess ROI, effectiveness
- Send RFPs and negotiate contracts with media partners – TV, radio, out-of-home, digital
- Work with Media Team, Brand Team, and Trade Team to develop integrated media strategies to support national and regional programs.
- Develop campaign pitches based on opportunities that arise
- Occasional market rides and visits to assess out-of-home advertising opportunities
- Identify target audiences
- Work with the brand team to develop photo-shoot and commercial needs, including being on-set for production day
- Developing and maintaining excellent rapport with 3rd party vendors
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in marketing, ideally in media strategy or digital marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Able to hold accountability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Pro-activeness – will see projects and campaigns through to completion
- Extremely organized and able to juggle multiple projects
- Able to self-prioritize projects but still ensure timely completion
