Job Overview:
Macy’s Media Network is looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our growing team. The Media Coordinator will contribute to the execution and cross-functional coordination of media tactics such as: physical package and billing statement inserts, emails, in-store screens, digital campaign landing pages and other tactics. The Coordinator will be liaison for the Sales, Account Management, and Billing teams. The coordinator will also work directly with cross-functional Macy’s stakeholders to ensure the media is executed correctly. As Macy’s Media Network recently launched self-service solutions for sponsored products, the Coordinator will also play an instrumental role helping to oversee platform operations and that clients are equipped to run successful campaigns.
This is a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment (new offering in the market, small and nimble team) with the resources, organizational support and existing vendor relationships of an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
• Be the subject matter expert on select media offerings (e.g., self-service sponsored products, inserts, emails, in-store screens)
• Coordinate the execution of select media offerings (e.g., coordination with distribution centers for inserts, coordination with CRM team for email, coordination with Creative/UX for campaign landing pages)
• Update relevant materials e.g., detailed specification guides, FAQ documents for self-service sponsored products
• Act as the main point of contact and coordinate the inputs from cross-functional stakeholders
• Coordinate with the team to track, explain, and monitor platform issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution
• Maintain and update excel based trackers and calendars
• Be responsible for ad operations / execution by partnering with Cross Functional Operations counterparts to ensure plans are integrated and executed appropriately
• Support certain aspects of billing
• Help identify process improvement opportunities
• Help identify opportunities to develop new types of ad channel offerings and take a proactive role in recommending new processes to operationalize
• Operate autonomously with minimal day to day oversight
Requirements:
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a Media Coordination, Account Executive, or similar role
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
• Media planning experience is strongly desired
• Knowledge of media and advertising landscape and industry terminology
• Proven organizational skills and flawless attention to detail
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative mindset paired with demonstrated ability to operate with relative independence in a complex organization
• Ability to learn new software and technology quickly
• Proven ability to manage relationships – internal and client facing
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Planner
• Ability to thrive and be resourceful in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
