The Opportunity


This position works out of Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care Division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.


As the Marketing Manager, Global Brand Management you will work directly with cross functional teams within the organization to develop marketing programs and tools that will help champion and drive internal adoption of our brand foundations to provide a cohesive customer experience across all the different touchpoints.


What You’ll Work On


Responsible to operationalize the brand foundations internally across different teams


Own the development of resources that will guide internal teams on how to effectively bring to life the brand experience


Own the Visual ID of brand adoption across all the different teams


Work cross functionally to align key stakeholders, including legal, regulatory, compliance and commercial teams


Help teams adhere brand foundations in their team processes


Develop packaging and naming strategy in support of our brand foundations


Serve as a consultant for cross functional teams to help adhere to brand foundations in different initiatives


Partner with the product team to define the strategy and execution of brand elements of the FreeStyle products such as naming, packaging and icons


Partner with internal communication and events team to ensure alignment on brand representation Partner with Corporate Marketing to ensure alignment with the Abbott corporate brand


Reports directly to Brand Management and Operations Marketing director


Pay


The salary range for this position is 135,700 – 271,500K based on experience.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Six years marketing experience with a minimum of four years in product marketing


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong negotiation skills, with an emphasis on driving partner value
  • Proven ability to build relationships and navigate complex, external organizations to identify internal champions and influence decision-makers
  • Previous experience defining execution plans that connect with a larger strategic context
  • Excellent contract review and management skills
  • Needs to understand how to translate brand foundations like Purpose, Personality, Principles and Value Proposition into tactical executions for internal and external customers
  • Experience partnering with different cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Ability to context switch and ramp up quickly on new topics
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the organization
  • 8+ years’ experience in brand marketing
  • Experience working for customer experience, brand building centric companies
  • Clear communication, structured thinking, organization, and project management skills
