Job Overview:

The Vendor Collections Analyst oversees the collection of advertising co-op from merchant groups and the issuance of invoices and collection of payments for the Macy’s Media Network. Additional responsibilities include completing the month-end closing process for these areas, fulfilling audit requests, and addressing payment delinquencies. The position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Finance.

Essential Functions:

• Complete monthly financial closing including preparation of GL entries.
• Resolve vendor inquiries and disputes related to Advertising co-op and Macy’s Media Network invoices.
• Monitor aged Accounts Receivables and take action to address delinquencies.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Collaborate with Macy’s Media Network billing operations to prepare and issue invoices and resolve problems.
• Fulfill internal and external audit requirements including EITF and SOX monitoring.
• Oversee the monthly collection of Advertising co-op from Macy’s merchant teams while ensuring payments follow accounting requirements.
• Prepare and process invoices for the Macy’s Media Network.
• Produce monthly and seasonal performance reports and other ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.
• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment. May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivables position.
• Experienced user of QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com or comparable cloud-based invoicing or accounts receivables systems.
• Proven organizational skills and flawless attention to detail - precision is a must
• Ability to deal with ambiguity to carry out a process under minimal guidance
