The Dentsu US market is comprised of three Service lines, each made up of a number of brands/companies and a US HQ for centralized expenses. The US is the second largest market for Dentsu representing approximately 25% of global revenue (2022 group net revenue: 1.12BN Japanese Yen). The market is complex, driven by scale, number of service lines and the operational model of “ONE DENTSU”. The Service Lines offer different products and services growth strategies and dynamics.


The US Credit Manager role is a newly created role, reporting into the Director – US Billing, AR and Credit Management. Credit management activities are currently decentralized by Service Line and the mandate of this role is to consolidate these activities into a single role with accountability for the proactive performance of credit management activities for the US in alignment with Group policies and best practice.



The US Credit Analyst will be responsible for the initial set-up and proposal of customer credit limits and proactive monitoring of existing customer risk, making recommendations to the business as appropriate. Specifically, the primary responsibilities of this role are as follows:


  • Partner with the business to stay informed of potential new customers, providing credit recommendations to support commercial negotiations
  • Lead external audit, JSOX and internal audit processes within areas of responsibility
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Accountable for implementation and compliance with the Internal Control Framework and JSOX within areas of responsibility
  • Establish processes for the periodic review of existing customers for changes in credit risk
  • Actively work collecting on assigned customers to meet department aging and cash flow goals
  • Partner with US Service Line Controllers, CFO’s, Commercial Finance and Treasury to drive credit risk management best practices through adherence to Group policies and procedures
  • Proactively monitor compliance with third party insurance and internal credit limits, evaluating billed, unbilled and forecasted receivables
  • Partner with Treasury and the business regarding customer credit risk, including changes to customer credit limits and ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority and Group Credit Risk policies


Other Responsibilities:


  • Be a leader in the US Finance community. Develop ideas and initiatives with the community to improve financial control across the organisation
  • Identify opportunities to simplify business practices and controls across areas of responsibility
  • Support business transformation efforts aligned with the overall finance transformation model
  • Support critical system implementations and business process changes
  • Responsible for the development and measurement of KPIs for area of responsibility

Qualifications


  • Knowledgeable of credit risk management best practices
  • Experience using customers’ portals preferred
  • Graduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Operations or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar systems preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Credit Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Outlook) required
  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and results orientated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Media / advertising industry experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proactive with strong focus on customer service and risk management

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000-$83,375. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
