Marketing Artist Jobs

SUMMARY:

This artist works directly with the marketing and/or public relations teams to help promote current projects in development and in production. This artist should be flexible in art styles as to best help the variety of stories told at Sony Pictures Animation.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. We pride ourselves on empowering filmmakers to lead the creative process, and allowing the hand of the artist to be truly felt, with the goal of producing bold and innovative visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Using existing artwork, create banners/posters/decor for event invitations and our building.
• Retouch final lighting stills needed for various marketing and PR purposes.
• Select Pantone colors for characters that are used for costume character and plush creations, as well as, create 2D vector line art based off of approved CG poses.
• Using the Adobe Suite retouch CG character poses for use in marketing style guides, partner creative, and advertising campaigns.
• Be able to generate multiple ideas quickly.
• Organized! You may need to return to version 20 when you are on version 60.
• Manually up-rez necessary art for marketing purposes.

Qualifications/experience:

• Excellent written and verbal skills and outstanding attention to detail.
• Experience with digital visual development with print and photo production skills.
• Web-based creative portfolio demonstrating a body of work.
• Demonstrated skill with Vector and Graphic manipulation.
• Ability to work independently. Self-guided and motivated.
• Ability to work virtually in a constantly evolving environment and a quick learner.
• Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Enthusiasm for marketing.
• Take direction well.
• Professional, quick-thinking, personable, and flexible.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $40.14/hour to $66.25/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
