The Opportunity

Come join IGN as our Product Marketing Manager!

This role will be responsible for creating and executing a calendar of marketing activities across IGN and its promotional channels that increase awareness and usage of IGN’s consumer revenue initiatives and product launches. The Marketing Manager will be both strategic and executional, working cross functionally with a variety of teams including IGN Store, IGN Membership, Events, and Product to develop new marketing programs, manage an ongoing slate of promotions and lead the execution of specific initiatives. This role will additionally be responsible for forming and executing on go-to-market marketing efforts around new IGN initiatives and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, testing, and optimization of on-page IGN CTAs and traffic-shaping efforts into key IGN programs and audience funnels.
• Lead development of creative marketing assets and copy for all programs.
• Lead Product Marketing for all new features and functionality - work closely with the Product team to develop marketing campaigns that drive awareness and usage of new features on IGN. Oversee positioning and go-to-market strategies.
• Own IGN’s product marketing calendar for ongoing IGN Commerce initiatives, with particular focus on the IGN Store and the IGN Plus paid membership program.
• Support IGN’s Editorial and Events team in the promotion and roll out of IGN tentpole programming and events across IGN.
• Closely coordinate the execution of all marketing campaigns with the relevant stakeholders including Social, Editorial and CRM.
• Manage IGN’s paid media marketing testing budget. Provide strategy on recommended spends. Oversee the launch and optimization of campaigns.
• Develop and execute a daily cadence of messaging, creative and promotional tactics to drive awareness of inventory and increase Commerce revenue.
• Regularly report on key marketing programs providing strategies for optimization.

Job Qualifications

• Around 5 years experience in a similar generalized marketing role managing a daily cadence of promotional activity.
• Hands on experience with campaign metrics and tracking including Google Analytics.
• A self starter who can be both strategic and executional to launch marketing programs.
• A background working for a pop culture brand, news media organization or digital storefront is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in writing engaging copy and working with designers to develop compelling marketing assets.
• Personal or professional experience with video games, comic books, anime, etc. would be greatly beneficial.
• Experience with online media buys across social channels including segmentation, targeting and SEM
• Working knowledge of key social media marketing and email marketing tactics

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from 80,000 to $100,000., plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
