Position Summary

The Game Artist I serves as a key contributor within the Creative Design team to create artwork that makes compelling games and outstanding player experiences.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Adapt visual styles as necessary;
• Create and evolve artwork from concept to production;
• Develop artwork for Lottery & Casino games;
• Maintain adaptability to changing needs;
• Collaborate closely with Game Producer and Game Developer to achieve the visual goals;
• Animating in After Effects or Flash, and a strong sense of motion
• Understand the art pipeline and how to implement art into the game;
• Perform other tasks as necessary and requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

• 2+ years game design experience in casino games, social games, lottery or interactive games preferred.
• 3D modeling, texturing and animation a plus
• Strong portfolio showing a range of styles
• Experience animating in After Effects or Flash, and a strong sense of motion
• Casino game creation experience, especially slots
• Experience working in Unity
• Accomplished ability to draw and digitally paint in a variety of styles
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

Knowledge And Abilities Requirements

• Ability to rapidly concept ideas
• Self-driven and strong multi-tasker
• Avid gamer that can connect with slots/casino core demographic
• Ability to provide multiple samples of game art and animation, both in process and final
• Tech savvy and self-motivated
• Typography and effects animation
• Expert Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Particles)
• Strong sense of color, light, design and typography
• Flexibility to create illustrations, logos, UI, and background art
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction or be an individual contributor
• Ability to storyboard, thumbnail, convey motion, scale and perspective
