PTO is hiring this summer! We are on the lookout for a fresh new wave of Marketing and Public Relations Assistants to join our outbound events team in New York City! You'll be promoting brands to the public helping them enhance their reputation, build brand awareness and increase their market share.

No specific experience is necessary, but it's helpful if you've worked with customers in the past. If you have experience in marketing, sales, public relations, customer service, hospitality, retail, or events this could be a great fit for you!

Hours: Full-Time Monday-Saturday (somewhat flexible)

Start Date: ASAP / Within 2 weeks' time

Location: On-site in our Manhattan-based office and at local events

Key Responsibilities:

As a Marketing and PR Assistant, you will be working as a brand ambassador for our clients representing them to the public with integrity and enthusiasm.

Throughout the day you'll be:

• Assisting with the setting up of promotional stands and retail events
• Displaying features and benefits through face-to-face presentations
• Creating excitement from prospective customers regarding the cause/service/product
• Having meaningful conversations with local consumers to gauge their opinions
• Collecting relevant feedback for the client to use to improve products/services
• Brainstorming creative ways to improve future events and retail promotions
• Recording new customer information ensuring accuracy and privacy at all times
• Answering questions and using stories or examples to relate to customers
• Promoting a client's products/services at our private site events

Requirements/Recommendations:

• Local to NYC or willing to commute to Manhattan daily
• Eligible to work in the USA and over 18 years of age
• Willingness and desire to travel along the East Coast and beyond
• Marketing, PR, Customer Service, or similar experience is a welcomed bonus
• Comfortable talking to customers from various backgrounds
• Able to start as soon as possible and eager to learn new skills
