Public Relations, Assistant Manager

What We Need

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our dynamic, fast-paced PR & Influencer Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting PR and Marketing initiatives with press outreach and day-to-day relationship management for a fast-growing skincare brand.

Working closely with cross-functional and agency partners, the Assistant Manager will support marketing campaigns and overall brand programs. This role reports to the Director of Consumer Engagement.

Each day at Tatcha is different with new problems to solve and tasks to tackle, but here is an idea of some of the things you will work on:

• Lead coordination of weekly PR meetings, providing agendas, recaps, and actions as necessary
• Draft compelling pitches with catchy & creative soundbites that inspire placements across mediums
• Bring to life unique Brand Partnerships with like-minded brands and collaborators, including initial outreach, strategy development, and final execution
• Manage media mailer executions – working closely with the Influencer team on target media list, creative idea, approvals & deadlines
• Serve as key liaison between Marketing team and external PR agency
• Under the direction of the Consumer Engagement Director, assist in the full 360 planning of all PR activity and asset production
• Track & report all media coverage and MUA support – weekly & monthly
• Build deep relationships with key media, VIP clients & professionals, including makeup artists and skincare professionals
• Maintain internal media & professional contact lists
• Maintain gratis budget and assist with invoice tracking and billing
• Stay current on industry news & trends to proactively keep the brand in the conversation
• Manage local inventory and storage to ensure products and brand assets are available for ad hoc requests or events
• Manage PR calendar to identify appropriate pitch angles to support product launches, cultural moments, & newsworthy press hooks
• Support planning and coordination of media events & trips

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest and passion for public relations and relationship building
• Luxury, Beauty, and/or Health & Wellness experience preferred
• Event planning and/or design experience a plus
• B.A. in Communications, Marketing, or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, or Influencer Marketing

The Details:

The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.

This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
