Marketing and Events Coordinator
Duties
The Marketing and Events Coordinator will perform a variety of duties, including
USC’s Roski School of Art and Design is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our team as a Marketing and Events Coordinator, for Roski’s Communications and Events Departments.
  • Coordinates activities to promote awareness of department services and/or products within the University community and/or to the general public, such as direct mail, advertising, publicity, community relations, special events, etc. Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates marketing efforts for effectiveness, as assigned.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with internal and external marketing professionals and vendors such as artists, designers, photographers, postal service, advertising representatives, media contacts, etc.
  • Writes and/or edits copy for department marketing projects such as publications, advertisements, press releases, announcements, etc., as assigned.
  • Coordinates work of contracted vendors, as assigned, and ensures timely delivery of goods and/or services.
  • Coordinates design, production, and distribution of promotional materials, such as press releases, advertisements, brochures, flyers, signage, A/V presentations, displays, exhibits, etc.
  • Assists Special Project Manager in development of the Roski School Annual events – plan, design, organize, execute, and cleanup.
  • Administers department marketing calendar, as assigned. Monitors schedules, production, and distribution arrangements and other details to ensure timely completion and quality control of marketing activities and publications.
  • Maintains and updates the Roski events calendar and notifies any key stakeholders of significant changes.
  • Candidate is responsible for Special Events preparation dependent on the needs of the event dates and locations across Roski’s three campuses. Candidate must be able to travel between all locations (USC main campus, nearby Studios Building, and Graduate Building in the LA Arts District).
The hourly rate range for this position is $25 - $30. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 Years Minimum Field of Expertise: Marketing, publications, public relations, business administration, communication, advertising or related field experience. Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
