This position is for a Market Manager for Maryland. This individual will work remotely from home, and in the market in accounts.
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Market Manager - Wine & Spirits is to successfully achieve the company’s objectives, within their geographic area of responsibility. The Market Manager plays a pivotal role in all aspects of the business, including:
- Proper management of sales and tactical budgets.
- Working with distributor sales teams effectively.
- Development and implementation of the business plan.
- Management of key, targeted on and off-premise accounts.
- Effectively planning, training, and educating.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute business plans that contain objectives consistent with the strategy and goals.
- Develop professional, respectful working relationships with all assigned accounts.
- Respect financial budgets and ensure they are utilized in an appropriate and legal manner.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Federal and State laws and company policies.
- Provide requested information as well as market related intelligence to Regional Manager on a timely basis.
- Maintain a system that analyzes current performance against volume and financial objectives and take corrective action when needed.
OTHER DUTIES
- Assist in sales meetings with distributors as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Ability to maximize ROI by appropriately managing financial budgets.
- Possess a proven track record – strong account network and building brands.
- Must have proven background within Spirits Supplier or Distributor Management.
- Must be willing and able to travel and work evenings/weekends as job requires.
- Able to create advocacy for Zamora Company brands in the targeted accounts.
- Located within the territory.
- Professional sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Drive) and MS Office Suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
- A solid understanding of the beverage alcohol business and possess excellent selling, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or sales and at least 5 years of related sales management experience or a commensurate combination of education and experience.
