Your Role:
Tenable is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist who is a self-starter, able to take charge, resourceful, quick thinking, able to hit the ground running, and handle managing multiple tasks and projects. This individual must have a minimum of 4+ years or payroll experience, be detail-oriented, accurate, have superior analytical skills, have strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel and must have proven experience working with payroll systems.
Your Opportunity:
- May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time
- Responsible for updating and maintaining ADP validation tables and tax accounts including setting up new US tax jurisdictions as needed, and making employee tax corrections in ADP and tax reconciliations
- Determine and produce reports needed to prevent and detect issues that could affect taxation and payroll, and to assist with mandatory audits
- Assist Payroll Manager with all equity transactions, including international, and process equity payrolls as needed
- Work with payroll team and payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payments for US (ADP), Canada, and Latin America payrolls (TMF)
What You'll Need:
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Positive attitude and ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a remote work environment, strong work ethic, action oriented and the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Experience with equity compensation and employee stock purchase plans, US and international preferred, including experience with recording ESPP taxable gain
- 4+ years of payroll experience with in-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, tax legislation, accounting practices and audit requirements with strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and tax jurisdiction set-up with ADP or other payroll systems
- Hybrid work arrangement involves working remotely and in-office in Columbia, MD twice a week, and may be subject to change based on business needs
- Advanced working knowledge of Google tools and Microsoft products including strong Excel skills
- Manage calendar effectively and adjust as priorities adjust, ensuring timely completion of tasks assigned
And Ideally:
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
- Bachelor’s degree (major in Accounting or Finance a plus)
- Experience in processing International payrolls

The base salary range for this position is $71,000.00 - $94,333.33 USD. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
