My rotator cuff was badly torn, and other surgeons were saying my only option was a shoulder replacement. Dr. Arntz felt it could be repaired. Within two months, I had almost full motion range and was able to resume my active life with no worries. He was skillful, caring, and he listened to me. Five stars! After reviewing my x-rays and MRI, it was determined that I needed shoulder surgery. He took photos of the damage all during the surgery process and he had to repair a large hole in my rotator cuff tendon and reattach my biceps tendon, along with cleaning up arthritis and smoothing out the bones. He did a very thorough job and I am well on my way to recovery. His whole process was very efficient, and his staff were very attentive to my needs especially in the early stages of managing my pain. But surgery is never to be taken lightly. I went to Dr. Arntz having completely torn the upper two tendons in my shoulder. After surgery to repair the damage and diligently following his instructions during the recovery and rehab phases, my shoulder is as good as it was when I was a much younger man. Both my husband and I have had this surgery and both of us have very successful procedures. Its been a couple of years ago for both of us and we still do a few of our bands exercises. While is was a long and painful recovery we were both well taken of. Physical therapy is a very important part of a successful recovery. Much of how well you do afterwards is on you. After 4 months of recovery I couldn't be happier. Range of motion followed by increased strength has gradually gotten better. The pain management after the surgery was exceptional, upon being released from the Hospital, I only required Tylenol for pain relief even though I was prescribed stronger medication to take if necessary. Dr. Arntz not only replaced my shoulder but repaired my torn rotatory cup at the same. I live a normal life again pain free. Two carpal tunnel surgeries, two Basal Thumb Arthroplasty surgeries and at least one trigger finger surgery. All with wonderful results, especially the Arthroplasty. So glad I did them, sorry I waited so long to get them done. He also performed trigger finger surgery on my husband and Rotator Cuff surgery. No complications & wonderful results. I saw Dr. Arntz, who diagnosed a torn rotator cuff. The surgery was very successful and I have fully returned to work. I no longer have shoulder pain and sleep without my shoulder pain waking me up. From my first meeting with Dr. Arntz to discuss my debilitating shoulder pain, he accurately diagnosed me with a completely torn supraspinatus tendon which was confirmed by MRI. I proceeded with the surgery in Proliance outpatient center and, while the discomfort was intense for several weeks, the results 3 months later are rewarding and no more pain. He found I had an old injury that had torn the rotor cuff & it was not repairable BUT he said instead he would do a reverse total shoulder joint replacement...okay...so it was not a 'fun' recovery but I knew he did excellent work on my shoulder. Dr. Arntz looked over the x-rays and MRI scan and determined that I did have a very bad tear and explained the entire surgical and recovery times and along with the good and the bad.
